5. Concrete Coring for Compression Test

Covermeter is used for locating reinforcement in the concrete.  Then a suitable coring location shall be selected in order to prevent the damage of the casted reinforcement.  In general the core shall be drilled perpendicular to the surface using a diamond core drilling bit.  Immediately after drilling, the core shall be sampled and marked up with its location and orientation within the member.
